QubicaAMF has announced that the 46th Bowling World Cup will not be held in Zagreb, Croatia, but in Toulon, on the French Riviera, from October 15-24, 2010. Toulon lies on the western end of the Cote d'Azur on the Mediterranean.

ETBF celebrated a true Silver Jubilee to day, Saturday 3 July 2010, since the President in ETBF, Addie Ophelders, was elected for his first term in the Presidium, in those days as Vice President, for precisely 25 years ago.

Grand Final of the Russian Individual Bowling Championship (RIBC) and Team Championship was held in Saint-Peterburg at the 48-lanes bowling center Leader. Qualifying ran from Feb. 16 through Feb. 21 and ended with the ultimate finals on Feb. 22.

Evgenia Tsarkova and Gennady Sidorov won the qualification tournament which has recently hold  in Ural’s Ekaterinburg and will have a chance to participate in 45th QubicaAMF World Cup in Melaka, Malaysia.

For the second consecutive year, the World Sports Festival was held in Vienna, Austria, with the tenpin bowling events being contested at Brunswick Bowling Hernals. Russian bowlers captured 3 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze medals!

The Russia’ team participated at the European Men Championships which was hosted by Lovvang Bowling Center (Aalborg, Denmark) on June, 04-14.

The 53 Russian bowlers have already attended the tournaments of European Bowling Tour 2009, although there are just 6 of 16 stops completed. It’s much more than it was in the previous years.

On the 7th of December the Alliance Cup tournament with the prize fund 1000000 rub (approximately 27780 euro) has been completed. The tournament winner is Sergey Isaev from Moscow.

25 of October 2008 in Duisburg finished 31st European Champions Cup.

The winners of European Champions Cup 2008 are Zara Glover, England and Thomas Gross, Austria.

Russian was presented by Gennady Sidorov and Elena Blagova.

Russian bowler Alexey Parshukov showed great result on Ankara Open. He took the third place together with Osku Palermaa (Finland) right after Dominic Barrett (Great Britain) and another finnish player Pasi Uotila.

Russian team participated at World Men's Championships that took place in Bangkok (Thailand) 18-31 of August.

Right after New Year holidays some new bowling-centers were opened in Russian cities.

Right after Russian Youth Championships on “Pulkovo III” hosted another competition – Russian Team Championships 2008.

Russian bowling industry keeps on growing up. Last year, the quantity of places where you can play bowling became more then 560, and total quantity of lanes was about 4500.

At the moment we know about 64 bowling-centers that started working in 2007

5-6 of February bowling-center “Pulkovo III” hosted Russian Youth Championships 2008. This tournament opened season of Sport Bowling Federation competitions.

100 young bowlers participated in these competitions for the right to represent Russia

The Russian bowlers Alexey Parshukov and Evgenia Tsarkova both finished the 43rd World Cup QubicaAMF in the 23rd place. It was the first time that both Russian participants survived the first cut (top-24).

Alexey Parshukov and Evgenia Tsarkova (both from Ekaterinburg, Ural) won the Russian Bowling World Cup qualifier and will represent their country in the 43rd  QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup at Continent Bowling Center in St. Petersburg, Russia, from November 3-11, 2007.

The Russian bowlers Gennady Sidorov (“Avtoritet”, Moscow) and Alena Korobkova (“Shosse”, Moscow) competed in the 30th European Champions Cup (Luxemburg, September 17-23, 2007) . After qualification games Gennady Sidorov got the 17th position, with total 4772, average 198,83. Alena Korobkova is on 18th place, with total 4445, average 185,2.

Alena Korobkova and Gennady Sidorov are representing Russia in the 30th European Champions Cup at X-treme bowling center in Foetz, Luxemburg (September 17-23, 2007). The coach of the Russian team is Aleksandr Abysov. The opening ceremony of ECC-2007 shall be conducted today, September 18th.

Ahead of visit to APEC CEO Summit in Australia president Vladimir Putin visited the town of Viluchinsk on the Kamchatka Peninsula in the country’s Far East. Along with Russia’s first deputy prime minister Sergey Ivanov and defence minister Anatoly Serdukov he paid a visit to the newly built sports center called Ocean and played bowling there.

The company Stroysvyazural-1 (Chelyabinsk, South Urals) is planning to start a huge sports entertainment center development in Saint-Petersburg. The total area of the building will be about 170000 sq. m. The center will have a lot of recreational facilities including 58 bowling lanes.

The host bowling center of European Men’s Championships (02-14 June 2005, Moscow) has been closed at the last days of June 2007. The club which was installed in the famous Moscow’s trading center Atrium, could not afford the high rent fee.

As it was last year, the Russian team came back from the European Youth Championships with the Bronze medal in Masters. Last year Russia’s Evgenia Smirnova won the bronze in the Girls Masters, this time Alexey Vasilenko from Saint-Petersburg did the same in the Boys Masters of EYC-2007 (Thessaloniki, Greece, April 6-15). It’s the first time when Alexey Vasilenko played for the national team of Russia.

The first official bowling event, which was held on the lanes of Bowling Alex club in Moscow, on April 11-12 1998 draw 76  players from 7 cities of Russia. They are Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Vladivostok. Among the participants there were 57 men and 19 women.

The Qatar Bowling Federation (QBF) has canceled the 2007 World Ranking Masters, to be held in Doha, Qatar, from April 30 through May 6, because the renovation of the Qatar Bowling Center will not be ready in time.

The 43rd Bowling World Cup will be held in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. The hosts for the tournament will be the Federation of Sports Bowling Russia, whose President, Alexander Gogolev, said: “We are very pleased and proud to have been chosen to be QubicaAMF’s partner for the 2007 Bowling World Cup and we are looking forward to welcoming players from all over the world to St. Petersburg.”

The Conference of Federation of Sports Bowling of Russia (FSBR) was held on December 15, 2006 in hotel Volga (Moscow).
Instead of Iosif Ordzhonididze, who had retired from the position of the FSBR’s President, the delegates of the Conference unanimously voted for the candidature of Aleksandr Gogolev.

A Presidium meeting of the Federation of Sports Bowling of Russia was held on 11th of October 2006 in Moscow.
